Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This Policy explains what the Valfiguer Web Editor collects and how your data is handled. In short: the Editor is local-first, we collect the minimum needed to sign you in, and we do not track you.

01Local-first by design

The sites you build are stored in your own browser using IndexedDB and are autosaved as you work. The content of your sites is not uploaded to us during ordinary editing, and we do not keep a copy of it on our servers.

Exporting produces files on your own device. What you do with those files afterwards is up to you.

02What we collect

To sign you in we use Valfiguer single sign-on. When you authenticate with Google or GitHub, or with a one-time email code, we process the account identifier and the email address associated with that sign-in so we can create and recognise your account.

We do not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers in the Editor, and we do not sell personal data.

03Cookies

Authentication uses a single sign-on cookie scoped to valfiguer.com so you stay signed in across Valfiguer tools. This cookie is strictly necessary for login to work; the Editor sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

04Third parties

If you choose to sign in with Google or GitHub, your use of those providers is governed by their own privacy policies. The email you use for one-time codes is processed only to deliver the code and identify your account.

05Data retention and your rights

Local site data lives in your browser until you clear it; you can remove it at any time from within the Editor or via your browser's storage settings. Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request access to, or deletion of, your account data by contacting us at privacy@valfiguer.com.
